When we received the news that Dirk could no longer give the ab-session because he was too busy, the first panic naturally set in. Who can replace Dirk in this time that we need him online the most to keep our bodies in shape. After some deliberation with my board we came to the conclusion that I should take on this monumental task, since I was already doing some ab-sessions against boredom, but in peace for myself. The first few times were a bit tense because there is a surprising amount involved. For example, you have to explain the exercises while doing them. Being in full view is also useful and a timer on your phone is so much better than just looking at the clock. I give the ab-session twice a week now and some days are a bit busier than others, I like that because you're trying to reach a lot of members of course but it's also nice to have a quieter time so you can talk to the people afterwards and it's also a bit less stressful. Especially at the NSAC, I was afraid that we would get a very large group and that something would go wrong, as has happened before. The other day, for example, my camera suddenly stopped working, which is a bit of a shame if that happens with other SACs as well.
We are now also looking at what other SACs do online, but if you haven't tried the ab session yet, I would say definitely come along!
