Alpine instructors

Instructors are of great importance when training alpinists regarding both summer and winter mountaineering. The training courses for instructors with regard to mountaineering are provided by the NKBV. If you meet the entry requirements, it is on a regularly base possible to register for an alpine instructor training. More information follows below.

Summer mountaineering

As an alpine instructor you are authorized to lead and assist with alpine (youth) courses. You train the participants to become independent climbers during beautiful climbs in alpine terrain. Depending on the license level you work as guidance or as the main management. The NKBV has Alpine Instructors at the following 2 levels:

  • Alpine instructor 3 summer (AI3Z) - participation in alpine courses.
  • Main instructor 4 summer (HI4Z) - main management and responsible for the alpine courses.

Winter mountaineering

The alpine winter instructor provides the alpine ski-touring and / or freeride courses (T1, T2 and F1, F2) of the NKBV or NSAC in the winter. Depending on the license level you work as guidance or as the main management. The NKBV has alpine winter instructors on the following 2 levels:

  • Alpine instructor winter (AI3W) - co-guidance during the courses.
  • Winter main instructor (HI4W) - main management and responsible for the courses.
