The ALA
(active member activity) was on the 16th of January. We had to
gather at the Eindhoven Ice skating hall at 7:45 pm, after which we entered as
one group. After waiting for the skate rent for a short while, we all began
exploring the slippery ice. The Board organized a workshop with ISIS, the ice
skate association. They were going to try to teach us the refined art of
skating on ice. Most of us learned every round we made, and improved bit by
bit. Others found it to slippery and gave up after a few rounds. At the end of
the course we even had a small competition between 4 groups, to see who could
skate the best.
Afterwards
we went to the canteen for a drink, and then to Isabelle’s backyard, where we
tried to make a fire. Due to a lack of suitable wood (only big logs) this took
a long time. After having cheated a bit, the fire was roaring, and we continued
with the next thing on the agenda, an awesome quiz. Made by the 43rd
board, about the 43rd board, with a lot of meowing. After that was
done, we sat around the fire for a bit, until we all went home.
