Acro-yoga, I had never heard of that until today. As a thank you, the board puts down a fun activity every year for the active members. This year it was an acro-yoga clinic and a three-course dinner in an unique restaurant. As climbers we had secretly expected that we would take a good dose of 'beginners' luck, but it turned out to be quite difficult.
It started with a warm up that also required some thought work, since soon we turned into a knot. Then we started the real work. Actually, acro-yoga is a kind of plane playing, as you used to do as a child on the feet of your big brother / sister, but then for advanced students. The first assignment was to have someone fly like a board on your feet while holding each other's hands firmly. The second step was to try it without hands. As a last trick it was explained to us how you could let someone sit upright on your feet (my compliments to Iris for being able to carry an 80kg guy). Finally, we did two more group assignments. First, we built a rolling band by rolling all together and thus bringing one person on them from left to right. The second group piece was a pyramid, which was very neat after a small fall.
We ended the afternoon with a delicious dinner in a restaurant, carefully picked up by Joep, and of course a drink after.
Thanks board!
