Alpine learning curve ESAC

The package that the NSAC offers only includes the course week and a selection day. In order to train you (further) in a safe way to become a Alpinist, the Alpine Commission of ESAC offers the Alpine learning curve. 'Required' for C1 students, highly recommended for other students. So if you are going to do an Alpine course at NSAC this summer, register here for the Alpine learning curve, be part of all activities and ensure that you learn all the skills to be admitted to the course ánd that you can complete it as safely as possible.

The Alpine learning line includes:

  • Rope Techniques Evening (Wednesday, March 11), here you learn all the rope techniques that you have to show on the selection day of NSAC
  • Extra rope technique evening (Thursday, March 19), repeat for those who want
  • Lecture fitness for the Alps (Monday March 30)
  • Tour plan evening (Wednesday April 22), learn how to prepare for a tour and also what you need to take with you on the course
  • Safety evening (Wednesday May 13), mountaineering is a dangerous sport, how do we limit the risks to a minimum?
