Because of the success of the two-day hike with pole-camping on the Utrechtse heuvelrug, we wanted to go pole-camping again before the summer holiday. Just after the last week of exams (saturday 7 and sunday 8) we take our chances. At the same time, it's your latest opportunity to train your body for your summerplans, test your newest gear of just walk go on a walking weekend.
The two-day hike will happen in the Merode in Belgium. In two days, we will make a circular walk from and to the Belgium place Herselt with walking distances of about 18km. We will sleep at the pole-camping spot Herselt-oost (it's a legal and free way of wildcamping!).
For about €7,50 we will provide dinner on the first day and breakfast and lunch on the second day! You have to take your lunch and breakfast for the first day with you. The bought food will be devided between the participants.
You will be expected to bring your own camping items for this, like a tent, sleeping mat and a sleeping bag. Also, don't forget to take a good, quite big backpack (40-60L) with you! Furthermore, in the subscription form you can enter whether you have a tent. A hammock is nice to take with you as well.
Because the public transport to Belgium kinda sucks we try to gather enough cars to go by car. We gather at the SSC (lieve vrouwestraat) at 10:50. The driving time is about an hour. For the ones that can take a car, the costs will of course be divided between all the participants.
