IV course 2/4

From 30 May 19:00 to 30 May 19:00

General information

Do you already have some experience with toprope climbing and would like to take the step into outdoor climbing? Then this course is what you are looking for. The Indoor lead Climbing Certificate is an entry requirement for the Outdoor Single Pitch course, where you learn to climb independently outdoors. More about all the courses within ESAC can be found here.

With lead climbing, your rope is not already attached above, but you bring it up yourself while climbing. While climbing, you regularly secure the rope to the wall so that you never fall too far. Note: because you are sometimes above your last safety point, you can fall quite a few meters. Fortunately, you will learn how to deal with this during the course! Check this video for more clarity!

In 3 evenings we teach you all the techniques, so on the fourth evening you have a good chance to pass your exam. An extra lesson and re-examination are scheduled immediately after the course.

Registration

This course has a capacity of 16 people, and will be selected on motivation, activity within the association and climbing skills. Registration is possible until Thursday, May 18. When you can't join this course, but still want to get your IV, you can also follow the course at Neoliet
